Have you ever skipped church because you didn't have anyone to go with? Let's fix that with our next Hotspot at Divine Liturgy on Sunday, February 28th!

By periodically designating certain churches and services as Hotspots, we hope to make attending church less intimidating. Our ultimate goal is to help young adults expand the types of church services that they attend at St. Sophia's and in the broader Orthodox community in Syracuse. This time, we'll meet for Liturgy on Sunday, February 28th! Dinosaur Barbecue gift cards will be distributed after Liturgy for our virtual dinner on March 4th!

While we still can't meet in person, we can support our local businesses! YAL will host a Virtual Dinner for young adults over Zoom on Thursday, March 4th! RSVP for a gift card to our local favorite, Dinosaur Barbecue. Pick up your gift card after Liturgy on February 28th. Gift cards can also be emailed.

Can't wait to see you all soon!

YAL St. Sophia and the Telos Project

We are excited to announce that St. Sophia's YAL has been awarded another year of grant funding from The Telos Project! St. Sophia is one of just 14 lucky parishes across the country to receive this funding, and this year will mark our third year. The Telos Project is designed to allow pilot parishes like us the financial freedom to experiment with young adult ministry and explore how young adults engage in the Church. In turn, our Leadership Team also participates in webinars, research, and a learning conference to develop ministry that is sustainable even after our time in the project is over. Read more about The Telos Project here!
